Save our environment and support Linden High School
What: A free electronic waste drop-off fundraiser. Participants don’t even have to get out of their car. Simply pop open the trunk and we’ll unload your e-waste for you.
When: Saturday, April 24, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cost: No charge to dispose of your e-waste.
Where: In the Linden High School student parking lot, 18527 East Front Street in Linden.
Why: This is a community service project for Linden High’s California Scholarship Federation, Chapter 265. Commonly known as CSF, this organization is an academic society whose motto is, “Scholarship for Service.” The group maintains high academic standards and strives to give back to their community. This year’s project seeks to provide area residents with an opportunity to safely dispose of their e-waste and save our planet.
Acceptable E-Waste: We will accept computer monitors, computer mice, keyboards, televisions, desktop and notebook PCs, VCRs, stereo equipment, speakers, PDAs, digital cameras, zip drives, telephones, cell phones, printers copiers, fax machines, laser and multifunction scanners.
*For optimal security, all computer hard drives will be shredded.
Not Acceptable: We cannot take household applications [i.e., refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.], furniture, hazardous household waste, including paint, pesticides, used oil, cleaning supplies, fluorescent light bulbs, tires, etc.
